Today pro teams, college teams, daily joggers and weekend duffers are leaning back and conjuring victorious moves in their mind's eyes. That's been part of Superlearning since the beginning. Christian Drapeau picked up the first Superlearning book as a teenager in Montreal. He spent the summer learning how to relax his body and center his mind at will. He honed his ability to visualize and then developed all of his imaginary senses. He used suggestion and the special Superlearning music.
Drapeau had already earned his brown belt in Tai Kwon Do, Korean style karate. Hearing the North American Games were to be held in neighboring Ontario he decided to try something different in the month before the games. "I totally stopped physical training, and trained mentally everyday using the Superlearning methods." Fighting among the black belts, facing much older contestants in one weight category above his own, Drapeau won the championship. He adds the same Superlearning techniques carried him with ease to a graduate degree in neurology.
The Swiss Dr. Abrezol has 114 Olympic medals to his credit, not as Superman but as a mental trainer who's coached European athletes to the top in sports as varied as skiing, skeet shooting, soccer and boxing. Abrezol is a leading practitioner of a MD developed European mind system-Sophrology, the science of harmonious consciousness. Bits of Superlearning were drawn from Sophrology and the systems share many basic techniques. Abrezol is expert in coaching athletes to overcome fear, avoid injury, hone a competitive spirit and to use a broad range of mental training technique to capture the winning edge.
To find out how to apply Superlearning to all sorts of sports and for more data on Sophrology and Abrezol's eight major training steps, see Superlearning 2000.
